Hello, I'm Chess, and I've been on quite the journey! I was rescued in March 2023, and since then, I've become a proud member of the Castle Crew. I may be a Chihuahua mix, but I've got a big heart ready to find my forever home.

Life hasn't always been easy for me, and the shelter was a scary place. As a result, I need a little time to decompress and feel safe again. I'm a bit cautious around strangers and have a touch of "stranger danger" theory, but with patience and rehabilitation, I'm learning to trust humans more every day.

I'm not quite ready for adoption just yet, but I promise I'm worth the wait! I'm super cute and enjoy playing when things don't move too fast.
