Meet Jax, a 5-year-old black Chihuahua who found himself in need of a new home when his owner passed away in December 2023. Currently mourning the loss, Jax is finding comfort curled up in a bed surrounded by some toys. This sweet neutered male is navigating a challenging time in his life, grieving the absence of his beloved owner.

While Jax has a social friend, he's not quite ready to engage with other chihuahuas. His preference is for quiet moments of reflection and solace. Once he decompresses and feels comfortable with his foster family, Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows plans to microchip and vaccinate him.
